The Direct Metal Laser Melting is a Additive Manufacturing method that is used for the production of metal parts. Using this additive manufacturing method the metal powder is also applied in layers and melted by a laser beam. Thus, highly complex parts and one hundred percent non-porous workpieces made of different metal materials can be produced.

Applications include prototyping, the production of components and spare parts and of course the parts of injection moulds. The Direct Metal Laser Melting method is suitable to reduce the weight of parts or for functional integration of complex assemblies.
